I am post this quilt as part of the Blogger's Quilt Festival. I chose it because it was recently completed. Although it started out as a scrap quilt, it turned into a color study. It reminds me of the muted colors of a fall evening by the lake.
I used my Tri-Rec tool for the first time. I enjoyed using it full size as a block on its own. I probably with use it to make other variations.
The hardest part was the inner border. I wanted a light stripe for the narrow inner border. I searched my fabrics till this one jumped out at me. It is a striped batik. The stripe is like a watercolor and very softly defined.
I love it, both colours and shapes!
