more of the same

Yesterday I post this to 15 minutes of play. Today I will post it on my blog. I have finished quilt a few of my pinwheel blocks. I think 2 more and I will start to put it all together. A vague idea of what I want to do. Will just start cutting and sewing.First with my purplely stripe.

I have be airing my collection of quilt tops and decided to show this one. Supposedly it was made by an Mennonite woman in Indiana. No, they do not have to use only solids. I love the center hexagon thingy and how she made the hexagon stars in two different sized to accomodate the size of the borders. It is orderly, but you can see that it was not all planned in advance. I hope whoever the maker is, she had fun making it.

  2. I love both your improvisational pieces and the Mennonite quilt top. Interesting to see the contrast and similarities.
