Cactus Flower

Cactus Flower is now getting its surrounding cacti flowers. Have decided to focus on it this week. The smaller flowers will be chasing each other around the center block. It makes me smile.

I tried to stay firm, but I had to make just one. This started out with the idea of making a triple nine patch. I decided to just cut and sew. It is what I had in mind. I have a stack of solids I bought at the same time in kind of a rainbow...not a classic one,but my own rainbow. The blocks will have various combinations of these colors. I am excited about this block, but will try to remain focused.

Spring has sort of started....had two days in which to start some yard clean up, then the wind had been at it for two days. It is nice to be snug in my little house as I hear the wind whip around outside. Maybe this coming week will have a little more sunshine and more gardening.
